Public Speaking
I have a bit of a confession. I like to work with an audience and have done so in the sense of public speaking for such a long time. I enjoy the challenge of connecting with different audiences and influencing their thinking and feeling.
Delivering lectures and other learning sessions is part of my experience, but at least as important is the speaking I have done to influence opinion. I have spoken to many audiences to inform and enthuse them in chemistry as well as speaking to communities about Higher Education. For example, as Director of Undergraduate Admissions I spoke to students, parents, educators and policy makers in the UK and abroad (particularly South East Asia). As Director of our Masters in Chemistry I spoke with leadership teams of many public and private sector organisations to influence their thinking towards hosting undergraduate students.

Since Alpamayo Coaching came into being I have sought out speaking opportunities to share my passion for topics related to coaching, leadership, and thriving in complexity.
